Cold water immersion causes the blood vessels in your skin and muscles to tighten, lowering blood flow and swelling. When you exit the bath, the blood vessels widen, boosting blood flow and oxygen to your muscles, which helps to ease pain and hasten recovery.
Ice baths are a natural and effective way to accelerate your recovery after strenuous workouts or competitions. They can help you recover faster and perform better by lowering inflammation, pain, and muscle damage.
Ice baths are a flexible tool that you can apply in various situations to enhance your recovery and well-being. Whether you’re an athlete, healing from an injury, or just looking for a way to unwind and recharge, ice baths can help.
Experiment with them after your next workout or competition, before a big event, or as part of your regular self-care routine. Begin with short sessions and slowly increase the length and frequency over time. Your body will appreciate it!

The right mix of time and temperature is important for cold water therapy. For example, if you’re in a 10°C water, we suggest staying in for no more than 10mins.
Temp to Time Examples:
1°C = 1min Submersion
3°C = 3min’s Submersion
5°C = 5min’s Submersion
10°C = 10min’s Submersion
Make sure the lid is on when you are not using it, to avoid any dirt getting in!
We suggest replacing the water once a week without any additives.
When you empty the water from your Pod, to prolong the life of your next fill, we suggest cleaning the inside surfaces with warm soapy water.
Yes,
Our ice bath comes complete with:
1 x Thermo lid
1 x All weather aqua cover
Yes, you can add Epsom Salt to your ice bath, there are some good reasons for doing so!
Epsom salts may have health benefits by boosting your magnesium levels. Other chloride salts (e.g., table salt, road salt) are not safe to use.
Very easy! Just use a hose-pipe, a bucket or container, and add room temperature water. Once filled to about 70% full, you’ll be set for your first dip!
Later, we suggest adding ice or ice packs to lower the temperature more. Our Pods are insulated top, bottom and sides, so will keep the water temperature for longer than you’d think!
Yes you can!
If you want the water to stay longer, using Bromine tablets or powder should make the usable time up to 1 month.
Bromine is gentler on the skin and more durable than Chlorine in cold water and you’ll require very little to be effective.
The ice bath has thermal insulated TPE layers and a Thermo Lid to extend the time of a certain temperature.
We suggest setting up your Pod outside, under shade, to make the most of the passive overnight cooling effect and then adding ice or ice blocks as needed.
Our bath is designed to accommodate all sizes up to 2m tall, while reducing water and cooling needs.
The bath folds into a small briefcase shaped box, with a handle that is included with dimensions 68 x 36 x 11 cm and total weight of 3.5 kg.
Make sure you check with your doctor before using an ice bath if you have any health problems!
AVOID USING:
If you are: – Under 18 years old, Pregnant, have history of heart disease or high blood pressure, have diabetes, complications such as neuropathy or retinal damage, you wear a pacemaker, history of frostbite, have an open wound, had recent surgery, epilepsy or any other health concerns or risks.
Using an ice bath can significantly lower your body core temperature. The immersion in cold water narrows blood vessels and slows the flow of blood around the body, which combined with health complications, can cause your blood pressure to rise and give you a higher chance of cardiac arrest or stroke.
Side effects:
The most noticeable side effect of an ice bath is feeling intense cold, but other side effects of staying in an ice bath for too long are: – hypothermia, frostbite, tachycardia (fast heart beat), arrhythmias (abnormal heart beat), allergic and anaphylactic shock.
Our recommendation:
Despite the potential side effects and warnings, using an ice bath correctly actually has many health benefits! We will always suggest you start by spending no more than a few minutes in the ice bath, and gradually working you way up to the recommended time, never push your body beyond its limits.
